A look back to be grateful & move forward in confidence.
To reflect is a good thing, when it can foster growth for the future. Looking back I am now so excited for what is to come. Last year came and went by so quick, seriously, did I just blink? I’ve forged new friendships, strengthened old ones and met some awesome clients along the way. I have grown professionally, personally & creatively, I have set goals and crossed them off my lists, my children are healthy, happy & oh so bratty… this is my life & I am oh so blessed. And it is through this growth, this roller coaster, this crazy thing called life that I find my inspiration to keep creating.
So without further delay, allow me your attention for a short read while I toot my own horn & shout out how happy I am for this New Year!
Busy Mama… Every year at each birthday I am reminded of how precious time is. My littles are 3 & 4, how in the world did that happen? Being a creative mama is a challenge. Sick kiddos, holidays off, late night cries, temper tantrums, “Bubby is being mean to me!” “Sissy took my toy!”, time out, “No you can’t have candy at 8 in the morning!”, jumping on beds, “Mama, just one more (insert something fun or tasty here)” , potty breaks, play dates, homework practice, alphabet, chicken “nugs”, Legos, princesses, Frozen, Avengers… yeah it’s a lot but it’s an amazing job & they are my muses. They help me to see the world through their wonder & innocence and it is such a great gift to draw daily inspiration from them. As a busy mama I encourage you to find the time to be creative in your day, however you can. Organize your time and you will see that a little bit of art, paint, pen & paper, hot glue, crayons, wood, (insert art medium here) will set you free.
The launch of Kat Lange Designs… One word to describe this feeling… awesome. I started out slow to take some time off of school but things have been picking up pace as word has spread. I feel immensely blessed and will be forever grateful for the opportunity to grow creatively while at home working in my pajamas & to collaborate with some great clients.

June 14, 2014… 14 years after finishing high school I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. So proud of myself! Seriously, one of the happiest moments in my life. Thank you to my husband for the constant support. I also have to add this equation…
2 parents in college (1 working on her senior year + 1 on his master’s) x 2 little ones at home = lot’s of study time, late nights, daycare hours logged & let us not forget, many many cups of coffee.
Think King’s Blog & Facebook page… I love that we started using social media to share our ideas, our projects and to just be a part of the creative conversation. And I love that we share a bit of ourselves on here, because the people behind Think Kings are hard working people who try our hardest to squeeze creativity out of every waking hour. So if we can inspire someone to push forward towards their dreams or to just create something, some time, somewhere then it’s all worth it. Perry has become an author of 2 published books, typing out his colorful words like a creative Ninja – Children Of Atlantis. Q has gown in his photography skills, snapping those masterpieces like a pro – Genius Condition. So proud to know these imaginative nerds. Together, with our powers combined, we will prosper in this New Year. So please stay tuned.
My news years saying is… Here’s to sunshine, dancing in the rain & finding the silver lining in every cloud.
So let’s think positive & always keep moving forward. Join us on our creative journey & please feel free to share with us on our Facebook page your inspirations & your story to creative happiness.
